Homosexuality related to birth, study shows

A man’s sexual orientation is determined at birth, according to researchers at Brock University in Ontario, Canada.
The research study shows that conditions inside the womb have an impact on the baby’s orientation rather than the way they are raised.
The finding adds fuel to the age old gay genetic debate of homosexuality being a lifestyle or an aspect deemed at birth.
Gay organisations like Stonewall, think that such study support the fact that homosexuality is natural and not a matter of choice.
Stonewalls’ communication officer, Andy Forest said: “Such scientific evidence make it clear that homosexuality is not a lifestyle choice, like many think. It emphasises that gay men should be treated equally like any other human being.”
However, the anti gay section of the society is sceptical about the findings.
National Director of Christian Voice, an anti gay Christian prophetic ministry, Stephen Green commented: “The homosexual world is desperate to prove that what they practice has a genetic base. I think such research is part of a political agenda through which gay men want to prove that they are part of a natural process.”
The discovery is being linked to a previous research which showed that the number of biological siblings had a bigger effect on homosexuality.
