Teenage motherhood: a look behind the scenes...

Most teenage parents are usually badly depicted in the media and are generally viewed in a bad way by society. But instead of just going by what everyone says of them, I wanted to know from the teenagers themselves what it's really like to raise a child at a young age.

Gemma, now 20, had Molly when she was 19. She had quite a shock because she had a hidden pregnancy and found out about Molly when she gave birth to her one day on the toilet.

Naomi, now 20, had Megan at 19 and is pregnant with her second child. She is doing a parenting course to be able to work with parents and children later.

Kerri, 19, had Thomas when she was 18 and is expecting her second boy in a few months. She plans to write a book about young parenthood to help future parents.

Kayleigh, 22, is mother to George, 3, and Bradley, 1. She admits she has gone through tough times when she had post-natal depression after she gave birth to Bradley.

Katie, 20, gave birth to James when she was 19. She says even though her pregnancy wasn't planned, she would never have given her baby up.
