| Vandalism, homosexuality and changing family values anger the Moral Right. | ||
The Moral Right blames societal problems on the lack of moral or religious convictions.
Whether it is sexual freedom, family values, loss of deference to religion, or a breakdown of social norms, they feel Britain is bottoming out.
Britain's church attendance figures may be going down for the past three decades but those who are religious are becoming more devout.

| Jonathan Bartley, Ekklesia |
Jonathan Bartley, director of Christian think-tank Ekklesia says: "There's almost a persecution complex developed in the church where they can't get access to the same employment rights as those they feel they're being discriminated against.
"They also feel they're being attacked in the media."
Bartley says Christianity has lost a privileged position by social changes such as immigration, increased mobility and globalised media.
"Sections of the church don't know how to cope. Inevitably, institutions start to be challenged.
"New values emerge which rock the institution to the core. We're a much more fluid society now but that's nothing to be scared of.”
Stephen Green, national director of evangelical Christian Voice thinks otherwise.

"I look around and I see the whole of United Kingdom descending into a hell of its own making. That grieves me," he says, blaming it on human beings thinking they know better than God.
The group lists on its website abortion, national lottery and divorce as well as “legalising pornography and homosexual acts” and giving “away the Queen's sovereignty - owed to Almighty God alone - to the European Union,” as the undoing of moral Britain.
Christian Institute agrees. Spokesperson Mike Judge says: “There are an awful lot of problems now as a result of the moral slide.”

Meanwhile, pro-life groups Pro-Life Alliance and Life want a public debate on “Abortion Act” and recognition of the human right of embryos.
They are against family planning clinics and contraceptives which “encourage promiscuity.”
MediaWatch UK's director John Beyer says it is important to “recognise that social disorder and fragmentation is not good for the society.

Food For Thought
Mary Whitehouse original founder of MediaWatch, campaigned for morals, taste and decency, particularly on television. The bane of liberals, she famously sued Gay News for blasphemous libel.
