Big Brother deal with death news

BIG BROTHER bosses asked permission before broadcasting a contestant telling housemates his gran had just died.

Contestant Jonathan Dursden cried on air and hugged each housemate before walking out of the reality tv show last night. BB bosses left their no-outside-contact policy aside to tell 49-year-old Jonathan the news in the diary room.
Not all viewers agree with Big Brother’s decision; “I thought they were not meant to have any contact with the outside world, that’s the whole point of the show,” said 23 year old Bournemouth fan.
Channel Four’s Nicky O’Shea said; “There was an incident on Australian Big Brother where they didn’t tell a contestant about her father’s death and there was a big uproar. Real life continues outside the production bubble.”
Former Shipwrecked contestant, Joe Stone, said; “I think there’s two ways of looking at it. On one side it’s an intrusion into his personal life and how the nation has seen him mourning, but then it would be much worse for him to find out after the event. In my situation, I would have preferred to know if anything drastic happened while I was on Shipwrecked.”
Big Brother issued a statement saying; “While housemates understand that entering the Big Brother house means they have no communication with the outside world, an exception could be made should a family member or close friend die or fall seriously ill. It would be very much decided on a case by case basis, but obviously we would consult with the housemate’s family and respect their wishes.”
Channel Four’s Nicky O’Shea said: “He was made aware that the news would be on that night’s show and he was comfortable with that. He’s coming on Big Brother’s Little Brother tonight to explain why he left the show.”
Viewer, Sharifa Bagalaaliwo, said; “It’s a huge thing in someone’s life. I think it was necessary for him to know.” The 49-year-old multi-millionaire said his time in the house was “a blast,” according to the Metro newspaper.

Paris publicises prison stay

PARIS HILTON kept few secrets when she told CNN's Larry King about her jailbird experiences today.

The heiress said her time behind bars left her curled up in the foetal position crying hysterically. She vows she'll never drink and drive again and that prison has given her a new take on life.
“With Paris Hilton, it’s almost a need, she seems to need to have attention. Ricky Gervais, for example, is a famous comedian, but has never sought fame.  He says its just a by-product of his job.  Even the way Paris dresses is so ridiculous and affected, it’s designed to draw attention. I mean who would turn up to a red carpet event the day before their jail sentence?” said Steve Court, Daily Echo.
Despite complaints about media attention from her neighbours, the twenty-six year old socialite gave David Letterman an interview before going to jail. Now, today Paris’ second interview with Larry King was aired on CNN.
In leaflets distributed after Paris' release from jail, neighbours Christopher Hauck and Anne Gaursaud branded the media circus descending on Miss Hilton’s house after her initial release, intolerable. They said more chaos is in inevitable unless residents file complaints or take legal action, according to the Daily Telegraph's report.

"If you think about Tom Hanks, Robert De Niro and Al Pacino, you don't hear much about their private life. They just let everyone else speculate. They don't actively go out to find paparazzi. You can have a private life if you want, in fact, the bigger the star, the more private they seem to be,' says Echo man, Steve Court.

Tola, a trainee magazine journalist agrees, "I think she’s just this kind of pampered celebrity, maybe the Judge was trying to make an example of her, just because of who she is."

Mills felt 'trapped' by paps

HEATHER Mills-McCartney felt “like a trapped animal” when photographers cornered her in a subway for pictures, heard Brighton Magistrates' Court.

Freelance snapper Jay Kaycappa, 31, stands trial for allegedly assaulting Mills. Mr Kaycappa is accused of grabbing Mills’ shoulder and turning her round to get a photo, according to IRN and BBC news. The freelance photographer, from Fareham, Hampshire, denies the charge.
The estranged wife of ex-Beatle Paul McCartney says she wheeled her bike into the subway on Brighton seafront to escape photographers on 5 July last year.
Lady McCartney, 39, said “I felt concerned... because I had one there and one there and I felt like a trapped animal so I turned into the wall to get on my phone," according to reports from BBC. "I felt a hand on my shoulder. He yanked me round," she said. Heather claims the assault left her with a damaged vertebra. Allegedly she then left the tunnel to meet friends at a café.
Anya Lewis, defending, showed timed photographs taken by Mr Kaycappa at both locations. Miss Lewis said "At no stage did the defendant enter the tunnel."
Lady McCartney said she was assaulted in a short gap in the sequence.

Wills tells truth about Diana

ONLY A WEEK after Channel 4 ignored Wills and Harry’s objection to broadcasting photos of Diana’s crash, the Princes talk openly to BBC presenter Fearne Cotton.

According to the BBC, the interview, which will be screened two days before Diana’s memorial concert, shows the Princes talk movingly of their mum. They say no amount of words can say how wonderful Princess Diana was.
"We want this year to go by and for people to remember all those good things she did," said Prince William.
The royal interview focuses on the concert taking place on July 1st to mark the 10th anniversary of Diana’s death. Wills says he hopes it will counter negative things said about his mother.
"After ten years there's been a rumbling of people bringing up the bad and over time people seem to forget or have forgotten - all the amazing things she did and what an amazing person she was."
The cause of Diana’s death is still the subject of media attention leading up to full inquest expected to take place in October.
Diana, 36 and Dodi Al Fayed , 42, were killed when their car crashed in a Paris Tunnel driving away from Papparazi, Prince William says he still thinks about Diana everyday.
