6. What can I do if I am turned down?
There are many funding avenues to explore in both the public and private sector. As previously mentioned, the Lottery backed scheme Awards for All offers grants of between £300 and £10,000 to clubs, councils and non-profit making organisations. If you are able to secure corporate sponsorship, government-backed Sportsmatch will match any commercial sponsorship money penny for penny (up to a maximum of £50,000) if you are eligible. Please click here to be taken to their eligibility page. Sports Aid is a registered charity which distributed money from corporate partners to athletes in need. Click here to go to their website.
