The sword on your neck

“Omar” was born in Iran and came to England a few months ago. He was raised as a Muslim but has abandoned his faith: “I’m proud of being Persian but I’m not proud of being Muslim.”

“Islam is death in my country, not the whole country… but it’s a way of control, it’s like putting a sword on people’s neck.”

“Human beings should be free to do whatever they want as long as they don’t harm anyone or destroy other people’s properties”, he said.
