Large casinos won’t cause large problems say experts

Super Casinos will not cause a major rise in gamblers according to a spokesman from a leading gambling charity.

Andrew Poole from Gamcare thinks that the new Casinos “won’t cause a significant rise in the amount of people involved in that type of gambling”.

“A lot of people will visit to see what the fuss is about, watch a show and enjoy the entertainment, it won’t all be about gambling”.

This will come as a surprise to many commentators on the subject who believe new casinos will naturally lead to new gamblers.

Anna Drew from the Methodist Church has said that we cannot predict the impact of such a Casino, “We’re pleased that the number of super casinos was limited to one as we don’t know what to expect in this country”.

There is a shortlist of eight locations to house the first UK “super” Casino with The Millennium Dome, Wembley Stadium, Cardiff, Newcastle, Manchester, Glasgow, Sheffield and Blackpool all in contention. The announcement of the winning site is expected in before the New Year.
