“We have been betrayed” cried thousands of doctors as they marched in front of the Home Office on the day of the peaceful protest.
Dr Rehman Khan, the vice chairman of the BAPIO said that this was utterly immoral on behalf of the government.
“They have destroyed a relationship which was built and nurtured over many many years. It is a colossal waste of resources. It is a bizarre way of terminating this relationship. It was a breach of contract and trust. Doctors are filled with shock and disbelief. It has taken them months to get used to this.”
“It was completely unfair” said Dr Peeyush who is a trainee doctor working under the NHS. “I’ve been in the UK for two years now and it’s unfortunate that the DOH has come out with this law. Any law should be applied for the future and not retrospectively. We don’t deserve to suffer especially after being invited to this country by the same people who’ve made this law.”
The NHS trust has a race equality scheme which stands for equal opportunity for people of all races. The manifesto of this scheme is clearly stated in its website. The launch of this regulation contradicted the very existence of this scheme. Doctors like Satheesh Mathew states this as a clear cut example of “racial discrimination”
Doctor Kishore, another trainee doctor is now ready to accept his fate. He said that even if the rule was revoked in the future he would never think of coming back to the UK.
“What the UK has done counts for betrayal and no body would like to come back to the betrayer”, he said
