the global warming debate

The.font for the headline above is in green for a reason. Perhaps, it is time for us to go green now. Or is climate change a hoax generated by over-excited scientists who have nothing to do. Statistics show that our planet has been getting hotter with every passing decade since the 20th century - a century dominated by important industrial and technolgical developments - but with with a price. The price has been pollution, particularly of the atmosphere with the vast amounts of Carbon Dioxide emissions from industries, automobiles, cooking gas and so on. Crticis of the global warming and climate change theory say that the earth goes through cycles of hot and cool and it is just going through one of its warm 'periods.'However, most of the world has moved to the consensus that action needs to be taken to tackle climate change, and urgently. 2009 has been a watershed year in this regard, as the developed and developing nations come to a clash over shouldering responsibility for climate change and its effects. On this website I report the hectic negotiations between nations on this issue and issues affecting the health of our planet.
